1970's ROSS Model 3800 PORTABLE 8-TRACK Stereo PLAYER Solid State JAPAN

Vintage 1970's J.C. ROSS ELECTRONICS Model 3800 PORTABLE 8-TRACK Stereo PLAYER. Solid State. Made in JAPAN (Japan No.2750 on back). All Functions have been tested (Willie Nelson had the Honors) and Work As They Should (Volume, Tone, Balance & lights/movement between tracks). HOWEVER Sound has a warble (tape speeds up & then slows down). UNIT NEEDS ATTENTION, mainly the head needs cleaning/adjustment and a tracking adjustment , which should address the warble. Top and Front pieces are metal made to look like Faux Wood, which show some minor wear (please see pics for actual condition). Grill Cloth has no rips or tears (does have small white spot). Plastic has NO CHIPS or CRACKS but does have some expected age/use wear (mainly scratches and dings). Latch works as it should.  Original Handle Intact and tight.  Outside has some expected use/age wear (see pics for actual condition) especially the door where the tape is inserted (see pic # 2 & 10). There are some small whitish spots in same area (pics # 2 & 10 also). Original Ac Cord is in great condition.  It appears that Batteries might have been stored in unit at some time (see pic # 11) but terminals are in overall good condition (could use some cleaning).  When both halves are latched together unit measures 10" in Width, 11-1/4" in Height and 7" Deep.  Solid State, 70's Unit so it is somewhat heavy..shipping weight is 14 lbs.  Overall Wonderful, Working (DOES NEED ADJUSTMENTS TO HEADS & TRACKING),Vintage, ROSS Electronics 8-Track Portable Player!
