ASHLY XR-4001 ELECTRONIC ACTIVE 4 WAY CROSSOVER.
Condition is "Used".   Barely.    I bought this unit to experiment with active loudspeaker crossovers for my home stereo system.    Active crossovers do sound better than passive crossovers, in my opinion.  Most audiophiles agree with this assessment.    However, it also requires separate amplifiers for each component in the system.    And, it also requires very careful adjustment to get the right sound, without damaging your components.   Like everything else in audio, there are always tradeoffs to consider.    So in the end, I settled for a simpler "biamp" passive crossover system.   But, if you have the budget and room for multiple amps and the time to spend designing and tweaking your crossover points, this unit will provide high quality filtering.      Ashly no longer makes this unit in the US, but rather China.   I'm not crazy about China made stuff.    But, it appears to be made to very high manufacturing standards.    It's solidly build with heavy gauge steel and the soldering and circuit boards inside look well made (see picture).    I think it will hold up well over time.
There are two minor cosmetic blemishes on the outside of the unit (shown in the pictures).
The scuff on the back could be easily touched up with a black paint marker if desired.   The scuff/scratch on the front is barely visible.
The unit does
not
