Here's a Weltron 2001 combination 8 track tape player and AM/FM radio with a matching pair of rare satellite speakers.
Condition overall is outstanding, close to mint, and the tape deck and radio are both working properly. Tunes AM and FM stations with clarity, and plays with good volume. Tape player runs smoothly, and the belt doesn't slip. Antenna is original, full length and undamaged; it extends and retract easily. Handle is undamaged; suction cup base is still resilient. Stereo indicator light comes on when a stereo broadcast has been tuned. Satellite speakers look like new and sound like new, and their serial numbers are very close. Spotless battery box, and the original string connecting the battery cover to the case is still intact. All 3 plastic cases are nearly perfect, with no cracks, no repairs, no significant marks. Both black speaker grills are likewise nearly perfect, with no damage. An ID number is neatly etched into the lower left corner of the data plate on the back of the battery cover; the unit is otherwise "as issued" in every respect.
The takeaway: you will not find a nicer example of this iconic stereo tape player/radio anywhere, unless you stumble upon one that's new and unused in the original box.
I'll include an old 8-track tape in good, playable condition. Hundreds of others are available online.
That's about it. I will package it properly so that they arrive at your doorstep safely. I have been shipping antique phonographs and radios for years, and if you check my feedback, you'll see that I know how to do it correctly.
Auction participants with no prior ebay feedback should contact me prior to placing a bid. Thanks.
